The shidduch process with our shadchan service is simple.  Just fill out the personal form on the Breslov Shadchan website with your information and interests.  Please make the shiduch information as detailed as possible. The more detailed your information, the better our shadchan service can help you find your shidduch!  This information is then passed on to a group of shadchanim.  Our shadchanim will keep this information confidential in their search for your potential beshert.  When the matchmaker comes across a possible shiduch, he or she will contact both parties for their consent.  With our Breslov Shadchan Service, we hope that Jewish Matchmaking, (shiduchim), will be an enjoyable and fruitful shiduch experience for all involved! 

Please note, the Breslov Shadchan Service is free. However, we do work with Shadchanim. In the case of successful shidduchim, we would hope that the newly married couple would be as generous to the shadchan as they are to the wedding caterer. But that, of course, is your decision. 

For those of you orthodox Jewish singles who may be new to these concepts, a Jewish matchmaker is called a shadchan.  A shidduch is a match made in the Jewish matchmaking process.  A bashert, sometimes spelled “besheret”, is what some call in English a soulmate.  A potential shiduch is made when a man and a woman each go seperately to a shadchan because they are each interested in a shidduch.  With G-d’s help, the shadchan will make a shiduch, introducing both the man and the woman to their true beshert.  The shadchan is often a highly intuitive and wise person, experienced in making shidduchim.  The shadchan can be either male or female.  The shadchan should be a kosher Jew.  Shadchanus is the art of making shidduchim, the profession of the shadchan.   

Can anyone be a shadchan?  Well, yes and no.  If you have the right intuition for making shidduchim, then you could be a shadchan.  Some shadchanim will claim, however, that becoming a shadchan take years of experience, not only intuition.  Can a shadchan be a rebbe?  Definitely.  Can a shadchan be a rebbetzin?  Of course, some of the best shadchanim are rebbetzins.  Jewish matchmaking, finding a shidduch through a shadchan can be a refreshing and amazing experience.  Many shadchanim have fascinating shidduchim stories.  You might want to ask your shadchan about an inspirational story.  The best shadchan ever, Rebbe Nachman, gives some very good advice which must be kept in mind when looking for your shiduch.  “Never give up!”  Despair can be most detrimental when looking for your shiduch.  As one Breslov shadchan once said, if  one siduch doesn’t work, just start all over again with the next one.  Finding your bashert might require starting over many times.  As the great shadchan said, just “never give up”!
